The VP8020 produces cost effective mid-volume digital printing flexibility in a compact size with
easy operation, rapid setup and all at a price point that makes it suitable for many types of
applications and environments. From commerical print companies to service bureaus and central
distribution locations, the VP8020 is ideal for the production of forms, labels, tickets, tags, ID
cards, direct mail pieces and other printed material in sharp, crisp, durable color.
The unique cool-fusion™ micro-toner system makes it ideal for substrates incorporating adhesive
such as labels. This technology, combined with the flat paper path, is also perfect for printing on
paper or synthetic based materials across a wide range of thicknesses.
The VP8020 prints using continuous web fed materials either in fanfold or roll stock form.
Substrates can be converted prior to printing so that they are ready for use directly from the printer
or fed in line from the VP8020 into various optional external finishing devices for die cutting, over
lamination, slitting, folding, etc.
The VP8020 is designed to keep setup, clean-up and paper wastage to a minimum so your
organization can focus its resources where they are most profitable. All functions can be handled
without the need for a highly trained operator. Print job scheduling, unit setup, consumable level
monitoring and all configuration functionality are easily accessed through a central user-friendly
Windows-based touch screen. The spooler can also be remotely accessed via a standard browser
for remote control.

The Digital Finishing System is a completely self-contained digital label finishing
machine. The DFS laminates, digitally die cuts, slits, weeds and re-rolls finished
goods.
The digital die cutting performed by the DFS eliminates the need for expensive steel
rule dies, and also eliminates the inventory problems of stocking dies. It also enables
the user to produce any custom label shape imaginable by using industry standard
design software.
The exclusive SmartMark™ electro-optical target acquisition system will scan up to
three registration marks and accurately adjust for scale and/or skew.
The SmartMark™ system eliminates the need for manual bomb sighting. The
registration marks used by the system are independent of the RIP or cutting software.
The SmartMark™ sensor need only be placed near the registration mark by use of the
DFS Remote Joystick, and the system does the rest.
Four individually adjustable web tension drives allow the user to set the tension of the
laminate, laminate waste take-up, weed waste take-up, and finished goods takeup.
Fully adjustable slitting station allows label stock to be cut into individual rolls of
finished goods, ready for shipment to your customer.
The DFS also has a standard vinyl cutter mode, to allow economical cutting of blank
labels, vinyl lettering or graphics.

The VP2020 is a fully enabled network printing appliance that makes the deployment and maintenance of localized printing
stations easy and flexible. Each printer contains an internal Web page that can be securely accessed from a standard
browser. On this page, relevant statistics are displayed indicating current ink reserves, print head usage and lifetime
supplies consumption, along with many other details. When the printer requires operator intervention, such as for ink
replenishment, alerts may be sent via email.
